The Sanctuary
Smart Rescues small sanctuary for those cats unable to live in a home environment due to chronic medical conditions, age or socialization issues.

Adopt
Smart Rescue has many wonderful cats, dogs, kittens and puppies available for adoption. All animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Volunteers are always needed to foster, fundraise, counsel adopters and to help in the care of our animals.

Smart Rescue is located in Spring, Texas and serves North Harris, Montgomery Counties.
We are dedicated to the prevention of animal cruelty, the relief of animal suffering, and the promotion of education on the humane treatment of animals. It is our policy to provide humane care and treatment for animals needing our protection in the area served by the organization; to return lost pets to their owners; to seek suitable homes for animals without owners; to relieve the suffering of animals in our care when necessary.
SMART Rescue commits to our animals for life. For that reason, our adoption process does take time to complete; however we consider all of our animals to be worth the extra time.
Ready for Adoption
Smart Rescue is pleased that you are interested in our animals available for adoption. Every animal adopted from SMART Rescue is spayed or neutered as required by Texas State Law. All animals are given PetMeds as needed.
To be considered for adoption, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 23 years of age
- Have a photo ID showing your current address
- Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care of a pet
- Have the funds available to pay the adoption fee
- Pay any required pet deposits on your current residence
- All dog adoptions and some cat adoptions require a home visit and vet reference check.
